Coming in at number one is our all time favourite; Bride Wars. The story of two best friends planning the happiest day of their lives. Sounds dreamy right? Wrong.

Friends-turned-frenemies, Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson star as Emma and Liv. Both want the plaza. Both want June 9th. Drama, envy, and sabotage ensue in a five-star film that all women can appreciate. It’s that ‘c’est la vie’ type of deep belly laughter that gets us, every time.

2. Mamma Mia

At number two it’s Mamma Mia. We love this movie for more than its epic soundtrack. Picture this; a Greek island, your wedding day, and your mom’s three ex-lovers, one of whom is potentially your father… what could possibly go wrong?  Mother-daughter scenes that will touch your heart forever and musical numbers that will have you howling laughter and singing in your living room, it’s a good’n alright.

3. Runaway Bride

Runaway Bride; possibly one of the best rom coms of all time? We think so. Let’s be real, the iconic pairing of Julia Roberts and Richard Gere is etched into our minds for all time! After leaving three finacés at the altar, Maggie is engaged again and all eyes are on her, including those of Ike, a New York journalist covering her story. This is a tale that many of us can relate to and unfolds the age old story of who we really are.

4. Sex & The City

Lights. Camera. Action! When you think of New York, fashion, and weddings, Sex and the City is probably one of the first things that comes to mind. A thriving writer, Carrie Bradshaw (aka Sarah Jessica Parker or SJP) is a career woman who has it all… almost. At age 40, Carrie decides to take the plunge and marry her longtime best friend and love, Mr. Big. A Vivienne Westwood ball gown, floor length veil and the infamous Manolo Blahniks, this is potentially the most heart-wrenching wedding scene of all time.

5. Bridesmaids

Bridesmaids has earned its stripes with an Academy Award nomination, and for good reason! One of the funniest wedding movies out there, Bridesmaids tells the story of Annie, a baker having a string of bad luck and making all the wrong decisions. Co-written by Kirsten Wiig and Annie Mumolo, this is one of Wiig’s best performances of all time. You won’t be disappointed!
