Dublin city weddings always have a very special vibe about them. The streets are busy, nine to fivers going about their day, and in the middle of it all, there’s magic happening. Laura and Tara’s 25 Fitzwilliam Place wedding truly was magical and these amazing photos captured by Olga Hogan Photography are the proof! Ready to see these beautiful brides rocking Dublin city on their big day? Let’s go!
The day started with a terrible weather forecast which changed as soon as Laura got into her red mini in the morning. The sun was on their side and Olga tells us, “the Child of Prague really did his job well on the day!”
The brides decided to do a first look before their ceremony and the images are just stunning. Olga says, “I love the idea of getting the photos done beforehand so you can enjoy more time with your guests. I also find this time to be incredibly emotional and sweet, and this beautiful wedding was no different.”
25 Fitzwilliam Place has an elegant front room that’s perfect for a bit of privacy. The dark grey, gold and white decor is classic yet modern and oozes sophistication for your wedding day.
Afterwards we had a lovely stroll along the canal and even a cup of coffee from the cute Perch Coffee kiosk! It’s always lovely to see strangers wanting to share such a special day,” says Olga.
The Gandon’s Suite upstairs is a spectacular setting for a wedding ceremony, with its rich dark walls, tall windows and the fireplace that takes centre stage. Laura and Tara decided to do an intimate ceremony for just their close friends and family, with an after party at Davenport Hotel in the evening.
“I really loved the idea as it made their ceremony really personal and special,” explains Olga. Laura’s best friend Christine acted as a solemnizer, and we’re told there wasn’t a dry eye in the room as Laura and Tara spoke the wedding vows they wrote for each other.
We just adored this Dublin city wedding and we wish the happy couple so much luck and love in their new life together!
