A stunning ode to all things nature, this epic verdant wedding is one to remember.
Lush shades of emerald green, a beautiful bouquet of lavender and a proposal in Paris, this ‘I do’ story is just exquisite! If you’re looking for a minimalist wedding that is just brimming with character, love and Irish charm, then look no further than this gorgeous day from Sade and John at Ballymagarvey Village. Images on the day were captured by the phenomenally talented Olga Hogan and we think you’ll just adore them. Ready to see what all the fuss is about? Let’s go!
Sade and John met ten years before their big day while studying together in the University of Limerick. Sade knew instantly that John would play a special role in her life and sure enough, one month later they were dating. Flash forward to March 2020 and a nervous John had whisked Sade to Paris despite the global uncertainty that was approaching at the time. Less than three hours in Paris and they were engaged!
Sade chose a bouquet of lavender flowers which complemented her crushed velvet emerald shoes and emerald hair piece perfectly. Her delicate yet stunning sequin dress was purchased from Vintage Pearl Bridal Boutique in Galway City. To add some extra sentiment, Sade used her late grandfather’s blue shirt to sew five love hearts into the train of the dress. This beautiful tribute served as an ode to his five grandchildren as well as her ‘something blue.’ So heartwarming!
The couple highly recommend opting for a ‘first-look’ shoot which they said they just loved. “It was honestly one of our most favourite parts of the day and we got to spend so much quality time together before we met our guests,” said Sade. “It meant we could focus on them for the day. It also meant that we got a lot of our one-to-one photos done, which meant less time throughout the day away from guests.”
The bridesmaids looked gorgeous in a variety of green hues including sage, which is bang on trend for 2023. The white tulips accentuated the colour palette wonderfully while giving a sense of fresh spring energy and joie de vivre. The groom and his groomsmen also looked dapper in their emerald green ties and neutral shades.
When it came to dining, the couple chose a pared back white and botanic look that they combined with fairy lights for show stopping results; their wedding looked like a true fairytale!
To top off the perfect day, the couple ended with a spectacular show of fireworks that was incredibly beautiful and made for everlasting memories. We wish this happy couple an amazing life of love and happiness.
